Christmas tree

Is there anyway at all to keep my kitten out of tree? He's getting quite big and I'm worried it's going to come down on him. He won't leave it alone. In fact he's become generally a bit peskier in the last few weeks - climbing more shelves etc.

He'll be going outside soon which will help but what can I do in the meantime? Feliway is plugged in. He gets a decent amount of attention!

There is no way you can stop him, they will wait for hours to climb the tree.

Our tree is tied down so Fatboy Leroy can't pull it over. Nothing breakable on it. Hope for the best.

Our two used to do the same. It's a new toy. A Cat Playground. The novelty will wear off.

My cat was exactly the same, eventually gave her one of the cheaper baubles but even 2 years later she still likes to rub herself against it!

He's a moggy but dad looked like a Russian blue, and mum is a Snowshoe!

No help here but he is gorgeous

Our tree ( fake pre-lit) will make a tentative, bauble-less appearance next week (we decorate after DS birthday) . I'll try some extra lights to compensate (non twinkly , our boy loves his laser toy) .

I might be back here wailing they'll pulled my tree down expecting soothing headpats .

I stopped putting up my Christmas tree in 2010 as I had kittens. I never put it up again and after Troy died I sold it. Haribo, nearly 6 months old will thankfully never have the magic or excitement of a Christmas tree. I hated decorating the damn thing so any excuse not to have one is fine.

I have got a four month old kitten and two trees, one is only 4ft small, full of pretty glass things and, this year, high up on a cupboard. He hasn’t bothered with that one. The other one is very accessible and he hasn’t been too bad although I just don’t leave him in either room unsupervised!

Old cat never climbed.... I'm not used to this!
