Open sore on his leg - the vet said to discourage licking

So the cat is home, he has an open sore where the drip was

The vet says to discourage licking and not to let him when he has cream on

How do I do that?

You need a lampshade collar or to cover it with something

Tubular gauze? The vet would probably like to know a sure fire way to discourage licking as well.

DH took over then the cat abandoned him and went to his spot in my sewing room & is asleep there wtill
