Open sore on his leg - the vet said to discourage licking

So the cat is home, he has an open sore where the drip was

The vet says to discourage licking and not to let him when he has cream on

How do I do that?

You need a lampshade collar or to cover it with something

Are we supposed to ask the vet for one? I'd have thought they would have offered

Put a sock on his leg

KatyMac Sat 19-Oct-19 20:59:09

Looking for a sock small enough

I hope you found one! Poor little thing. S/he'll probably pull it off anyway...

Tubular gauze? The vet would probably like to know a sure fire way to discourage licking as well.

Cone of shame. The vet will sell them

KatyMac Sun 20-Oct-19 09:19:05

Panty liners and sellotape!

Get a cone tomorrow?

He just threw up all his meds

He won't get off my lap - going to get loads done today - I have a wedding dress to finish and I haven't had a cup of tea yet

Excellent work there Katy. Sorry about your day. Looks like it isn't going to be allowed to happen
