It's been nearly 3 1/2 years since Troy died from hypertropic cardiomyopathy just 2 months off his 6th birthday. I couldn't think of having another cat as I couldn't live with the hearbreak.

However a couple of months ago I went to a Cats Protection open day and even though I felt all wobbly inside seeing all the cats, I left my details. As Troy was black and white I wouldn't have been able to have another as it would have been so hard.

Yesterday I picked up Haribo from Cats Protection. He's 11 weeks old. White with grey and tabby splodges.

He’s beautiful. I couldn’t go to a cp open day without wanting to adopt either.

Oh he is lovely. Properly cute but with an undercurrent that suggests he may be a bit cheeky. It's so hard to tell from just one photo...

Weezol I thought the same. I'm sure I've got the nutter of the litter.

He's going to put years on me. He's confined to downstairs, 3 rooms, and has managed to find every nook and cranny to hide in until I'm hoarse calling him. As he's so small he's finding it easy to hide.

He's now come out of under the sideboard giving me a sideways guilty look. It's because he's looking for a lap.

Get some Dreamies - he will soon learn to come running when the bag rustles!

I gave Troy Dreamies and I'd never seen so much sick. Troy was a lick-e-lix junkie.
