Why does my cat keep sneezing?

I have never heard my cat sneeze before. 3 days ago she had a massive sneezing fit and has been sneezing on and off since. She is otherwise fine.

one of mine has been doing this on and off all summer

we had a vet visit, she suggested two sorts of pills, (anti-bs and anti-inflamms) luckily he is very stupid and just eats them like smarties on a cake if you pop them in his bowl but she did say he seemed fine and dandy, no wheezing or temperature, or anything she could name.

the sneezing eased off as we finished the pills, but has returned intermittently over the summer but not to the same intensity

he's not in the least bit unwell with it, no gummy eyes, or bogies, eating well, catching birds and mice, just his usual self plus occasional sneezing fits.

we are paying no attention to it now.

Could be something up the nose.but it's worth bearing in mind that cats can get hayfever

Hayfever makes sense. I've tried looking in her nose (not very successfully ha). She really does seem fine in every other way.... i guess I'll take her to the vet if the sneezing carries on and seems excessive

Cats can catch a cold just like humans.
Does she have a runny nose at all?

My cat had this, I noticed an awful smell from her nose. It turned out she had a blade of grass stuck in her nostril from when she'd vomited it up but instead of it coming out of her mouth, went into her nasal passage!
Meds to open up her nostril meant she eventually sneezed it out!

I was just coming on to say that grass can get stuck, I once rushed my boy cat to OOH vets after a huge sneezing attack (sounded like he was about to sneeze his head off!) and the vet said almost certainly a piece of grass but he had probably dislodged it with the sneezing and swallowed it. That was a wasted trip at 9pm! Worth getting it checked out if its been going in for a few days now.

We once took our cat to the vet as he seemed uncomfortable. The vet thought he had a blade of grass stuck. One general anaesthetic later and nothing was found!
Snorg gets hay fever. 1/2 a piraton tablet sorts her out.
