Why do insurers need a full medical history for continuing claims?

Submitted a claim for Snorgs heart disease. It's the 4th claim for this. It's taking a while to settle as they want a full history fromy vet. The vet sent a full history for the last 2 claims. It took 6 months to sell the one from June last year.
Tbh they were brilliant with Previous claims but I can't understand what this one causes an issue. HmmConfusedAngry

Is it Tesco? I am waiting for a payout from them and they keep asking for more information from the vet despite being provided with a full medical history from them Confused Hmm

Dcat is flat out refusing to take her medication anyway the minx. Any tips? Grin

I think it's called being difficult! With our old girl her diabetes was linked to her having had pancreatitis (her pancreas was badly damaged) and our vet was ready help out with the insurance claim but Petplan paid out with no issue and they already had her history.
I did overhear one saga with an insurer at our vets one day who apparently kept losing everything they were sent over. No idea who it was but frustrating for the vets and the owner!

Yes it is Tesco. They've been very efficient previously, so I don't know why this is causing problems. The cardiologist sent a full clinical history for the claim made last June and again in November. It's so bloody annoying. Especially as I submitted the claim online not knowing that they don't do direct payments to the vets if it's done online. So I had to pay on my credit card. So could do with the money ASAP!
