I’m looking for recommendations for a cat water fountain please. I’m going round in circles reading the reviews on Amazon etc so thought I’d ask on here.

I love the
Cat mate fresh water drinking fountain for cats and small dogs.

We went through many fountains until we found this one, had have just bought it again for our new kitten.

I’ve got a Cat Mate one. Had it ten years and it’s still working. You need to take the pump apart sometimes to give it a good clean, and make sure it’s dry before you reassemble. I’m in a hard water area and it’s lasted longer than I expected. I buy a year’s worth of replacement filters at one go on Amazon. We change them every month.

D Cat also has a Cat Mate. They last around 5 years for us, but we live in a very hard water area.

We are on our 3rd Cat Mate.
One went really skanky after years and years so was replaced and another got damaged in a house move. We couldn’t do without it as 2 out of our 3 cats tip any sort of water bowl over.

I liked it, it holds 1250ml water but the filter part did my swede in. The year worth of filters above might be an idea.

My cat likes a stream of water, like from a tap, so that one linked above would be no good for her. I’ve got an older version of this one

Ours is about 8 years old and still going!

I don't have a power source anywhere I could put a coat fountain.

However I do have a solar fountain in the garden and Buzzcats drink from that - same premise I guess.

Also drink green manky standing water as well, so who knows...

My parents cat says that you just stand on the sink and yowl loudly until the space comes and turns the tap on. No faffing with filters and cheaper than a fountain.

My cat will normally only drink from a tap. I bought this one in the heatwave last summer as I was worried about her not drinking during the day. She still uses it all the time.

Suzie1997

Okay so I need help
My cats called cheeka he isn't a fussy eater basically will eat everything and anything you give him..

But the down fall is he doesn't drink water but I leave a bowl of fresh water every day he also eats 1/3 felix pouches a day and has a bowl of biscuits

What should I do

Try water from a butt, or rain water or similar. Many cars don't like chlorinated tap water.

And/or try a fountain like the ones mentioned. If Cheeka has wet food (do you mean one-third of a pouch or 1 to 3 pouches a day?) that has moisture in too so don't panic yet. Also puddles outside are like Evian to some cats, so he's probably drinking out of sight too.
