I'm in a complete panic.
We adopted a 3yo cat on Thursday and he's settled in well. He's obviously been kept indoors but he managed to escape an hour ago when I was bringing in the washing.
Searched the garden and surrounding area with treats but no sign.
Please reassure me he'll find his way back.
I'm holed up on the sofa in the kitchen with the door ajar and food out panicking he won't find his way home.
My 10yo is going to be devastated if he wakes up and he's still not back.

Pop some of the litter from the litter tray outside in the garden, it’s meant to help them pick up their scent.

Oh good - clever cat knowing where to come back too.

That's a relief, and lucky. He's a stunner. Is that a black and white photo or did everything in the photo just happen to be shades of grey?

We're just a very grey house. Here's one that shows a bit more colour
