55 Siamese Cats with the RSPCA

Just saw this posted on Facebook by the RSPCA. Knowing that there are a few MNers who would love to own a Siamese, I thought it might tempt some would be cat rescuers??

"The RSPCA is looking for homes for 55 Siamese cats who came into the charity’s care in February from a multi-cat household in Croydon.

They were then taken to three animal centres in the area – there are 11 cats at RSPCA Leybourne in Kent, six at the RSPCA Purley, Caterham and District Branch and 38 Siamese cats at RSPCA South Godstone Animal Centre in Surrey.

The Siamese cats will need a home with adults or families with older children. Some of them can be rehomed together as they are bonded, while others will be happier to be rehomed on their own.

For more information about giving any of these cats a loving home contact:

Someone I know shared it too. They are a handsome bunch! Hopefully they all find good homes soon.

That’s just ridiculous. 55 cats in one house and more kittens on the way.

I love Siamese. Alas we are too far away and our existing cat wouldn't like it.

Aww, bless their hearts. Alas, we already have 2 rescued Siamese who would probably find any additions too stressful.
If anyone sees this and is thinking about it, do go for it, siamese really are wonderful, funny, loving, chatty cats.

I love Siamese, our current one is an equal opportunities cat hater though.

Bloody hell, that's mad. They look well cared for though. I thought the rescue I foster for had found an excessive hoard when we took in 18 from an amateur breeder that had got out of hand, but 55 Shock.

I think cheddar is a Siamese in Persian clothing. She's like that video of the Siamese owner in the shower! I'd love a Siamese.

Siamese cats are the most determined, troublesome, loving delights!

We're in the wrong part of the country, sadly, and I feel confident that our 15 year old sealpoint would never forgive us. He is is still very good at defending his patch, so it wouldn't be fair.

I can't begin to imagine how noisy 55 siamese must have been!

I often think about these lovelies, did anyone from here adopt any?
