Dreamie addiction!

My cat is obsessed with the bloody things. He meows constantly for them and is always trying to jump onto the shelf to reach the bag. I’ve sometimes come down stairs in the morning and found ripped up bags of the stuff so I’ve had to resort to locking them away in cupboards now.
My question for other dreamie addict cat owners - do they give your cat an upset stomach at all? My cat gets very soft poops now and again and I’ve realised it’s when he’s had the Dreamies. I cut them out last week and his poops went back to normal. He’s driving me insane from the 24/7 nagging for them though

How many are you giving him? They do contain cereals so maybe he is sensitive to that. I keep ours in a lidded tub so they can't get to them. Mine also like webbox sticks and freeze dried treats (cosma snackies from zooplus) which contain more meat and no cereals

They are like crack for cats. Keep them well away where they cannot smell or see them, also don't keep them in a specific place - cat knows!

They are only supposed to have a certain amount per day, not sure what as I put mine away so well I can't remember where I put them!

They soon detoxed.

I give mine about 10 a day but my DP admitted be sometimes gives him a small pile of them when he’s nagging. I’ll cut them right down and try and wean him off them

They don't need weaning off lol just bin them.

If they are interfering in what they normally eat just cut them out completely. I was joking about the detox.

God knows what they put in them though!

My cat once went into my partialy open bag, dragged out some Dreamies which I had foolishly left in there, ripped into the bag, ate a handful along with a chunk of the bag all in the space of the 2 minutes I was out the room!

They now live in a clip lid box, inside another clip lid box and are strictly rationed to 5 a day (6 on very special occasions), if she could, she'd eat them all day!

Our cat has the WORST squits with Dreamies but she loves them. They're like cat crack! The vet always gives them to her when she visits so we had to ask her to stop as the poo was too much! She has a catflap but always comes in to use her litter tray. We stopped buying them and now she gets a tiny bit of dry food as a treat.
