Part Bengal kitten is a minx! Any tips?

We got our kittens in May and they are adorable, basically moggies but grandad was a Bengal.

Piper is very much of the moggie persuasion, but Edie clearly got more of the Bengal genes in both looks and temperament. She is very bright, extremely agile and into absolutely everything.

They are indoor cats (not spayed yet in any case as vet won't do it until 6 months - op is already booked though) so really need to come up with some ways to challenge her and stop her wrecking the house.

I understand that Bengals can be trained and wondered if anyone on here had had any success on that front. Also with harness and lead training? I have no problem with getting some funny looks if it keeps Edie happy and my house intact!

What kind of playtime do they get with you?

She certainly is...She is also very cute a s affectionate which means she gets away with all sorts but I'm worried something will get broken overnight or when I'm at work and hurt her or her sister.

I work ft but they get plenty of fuss when we're home and play well with each other. They're particularly keen on chasing bubbles at the moment, and like batting plastic laundry dispensers round the kitchen floor - it's a bit like kitten air hockey!

They have a four foot cat tree, but I'm going to look at ways to expand that, and also start securing the upstairs doors when we're home so they have access to the stairs and bannisters.

Think they might need some new toys and puzzle bowls/balls for dry food as well.

What's your home like? I was thinking if I had cats which were indoor cats I'd buy a cage they could play in outside with big tree trunk branches etc in so they could go a bit bonkers and have a cat flap in / out - it's the sort of thing we could do here as we have space but realise not everyone could make that work in their house

Flumpy my friend had similar for her info or cats.

It's not impossible in terms of space, but alas very much not on the cards in terms of budget!

Part of me would love to let them out. If I could guarantee they'd go backwards from the garden, not forwards and out of our cul de sac onto a busy road, if there hadn't been quite so many missing cats in dubious circumstances etc.

Also their temperaments - they are pretty inseparable so if Edie got into mischief, Piper would attempt to follow and whilst Edie would no doubt extricate herself, we'd probably be having the fire brigade out every 5 minutes to deal with Piper, who has all of the enthusiasm but none of her sister's agility!
