I went away to work on Friday and returned Sunday morning. My Mother was pet sitting.

Mr Chips rolled over for cuddles last night and I was greeted by this ghastly image. I could swear it wasn't there on Friday. How the hell would I have missed it?

The cat hasn't been out, rang vets straight away and she advised to make an appointment. However they can't see him until tomorrow but I am sick with worry.

I obviously am not looking for a diagnosis, thats the vets job but I wondered if anyone had come across anything like this?

No visible fleas, treatment all up to date. If you notice his paw looks sticky? I am suspecting some kind of chemical burn?

We haven't used any tough chemicals to my knowledge :(

Looks like he's been scratching himself raw for some reason.

I'll try that again
where on his BODY is it!
Is that a front or back foot?

I guess I am wondering if it is round/near his bum

I can't work out where it is on his body either.

Looks like top of leg/undercroft/groin (do cats have groins???)

If it's new could well be a chemical burn of some sort, poor thing it looks very sore.

If there's a chance you hadn't spotted it before it looks like the way cats get when they have a severe flea allergy. Maybe even if he's flea free now he had some freeloading fleas which have caused him to scratch.

That is his back right foot? Looks bloody sore! Poor lad.

Looks like a burn to me too. Could he have had access to a recently used hob or similar?

I would definitely push for an emergency appointment at vet's for that.

How is he otherwise?

Looks painful. Did your mum notice anything -hear him give a yelp at any point?

Hopefully the vet can see him early tomorrow morning. Mine opens at 7am!!
