Why is my kitten meowing ?

My new kitten is meowing all the time and running about like a loony? Is he just playing? Or is he trying to tell me somthing else?

He might want food, or cuddles, or headrubs, or a drink, or his litter box, or a door opened, or playtime, or to go out. Try everything and see if he shuts up.

Don't worry, it'll take him a while to get you trained up but you'll get the hang of it eventually.

Haha @UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername yes he's got alllll if that! He's finally shut up after about 2 hours and has fallen asleep on my lap! I've had two kittens before and none of them were doing what he did hah! He's a strange but adorable little character !

When our youngest was a young kitten she would really fight sleep - like a stroppy little toddler! - and would run about crying, almost sounding distressed before flaking out on the chosen lap. Her cry would change from an upset cry to a croaky one just before she gave in. When you get familar with the different cries you'll be able to help him settle easier. Photo of flaked out kitten would be nice....!

Mine chirps while tearing from room to room. Cries when she wants us to follow her%! Took a while to figure out.
