Just wondering how other cats respond to their humans returning after a holiday. My old childhood cat used to give us 'the silent treatment' for a day or two.
However, since picking my current 18 month old dcat up from the cattery on Sunday she has been unusually attentive to me and dh. She has also been keeping a close eye on our whereabouts at home. Although she pops out she returns soon after to see where everyone is.
Before we went away for the week she was fairly aloof and didn't really allow too much petting. Since we got back she has actively seeks-- attention especially at 4am. Although that isn't unusual for her.--
She has also lost quite a bit of weight. I suspect due to the hot weather. I really hope it's not due to stress from being left. She didn't cope at all well during the 10 minute ride to the cattery.
