Thorn in eye :(

Could I have a hand hold please? My poor little girl cat had to go to the vets today as she had managed to somehow get a small thorn stuck in her eyeSad She's back home having had it removed under a general anaesthetic. She's very woozy and looking sorry for herself. We have to put cream in twice a day (that's going to be fun) and back for a check up on Thurs. Just hoping she recovers well and is back to her old self asap.

Here she is, just sitting on the floor looking a bit uncomfortable. I'm worried if I put her up on her favourite chair she'll possibly fall off as she's not steady. She often chooses the floor to sit so probably best to leave her there.

Oh bless her, that sounds sore! You must have been so worried too.

A tip I found for my children that might work on a cat is to wrap them in a blanket/towel to apply the cream, almost like swaddling them. I suppose it depends on the temperament of the cat though.

Thank you for your kind message. I will try that tip, she's only little but quite feisty usually! Very odd to see her so drowsy.

Best wishes and what a beautiful beast! Hand hold and Flowers

I've had cats most of my life and was able to medicate beast when needed; not current semi feral ba_&#*!. Probably good idea to get him used to swaddling whilst small enough to manage.

Sorry, 'she'.

Thank you @MrsCatE much appreciated. She's come round a bit and had a little supper, not looking forward to getting the cream in tomorrow but will give it my best shot! 14yr old DS will help (DH is away) and will try the towel method.

Wishing you best of luck and hope she gets better as soon as possible. She's absolutely lovely!
