Hi All.
Ok, So back in September we rescued a lovely 2 year old cat. He has always been friendly but the last few days he is doing my sweed in! His following me EVERYWHERE! not only that but his constant meowing at me, he has clean bowls of food and water and a clean litter tray, he can go in and out as he pleases. For example on Tuesday I was cleaning the kitchen and he jumped up (onto my clean side 😒) and basically climbed on me. I had to support him with my arm as he rub his head on my chin over and over, mouthfuls of cat fur are no my idea of a healthy lunch!
I leant over my sofa earlier to put some music on and boom! There's the cat, underneath me nudging me and rubbing up against me. Don't get me wrong, I love my fur baby but he really is starting to drive me crazy with this. Anyone else having this issue??
He was neutered when we got him if that helps at all.

Maybe he wants some attention? Could you have him sit on your knee for twenty minutes and just stroke him? Or play with him: my cat likes me to throw ping pong balls upstairs so she can bat them down the stairs. Then you might get some peace!

It's not that I ignore him, far from it, it's just out of character for him to be so..... clingy for lack of a better word

You have to make this work for you, having a cat means no housework{grin}. You can't do anything if they want you, nor can you make bed as they're asleep on it, cleaning floor in case chemicals affect them, no hoovering either in case you disturb them and if you're lucky, you have one that likes sitting in the bath, so you don't have to clean it.

Just wondering does he like to play, maybe do that a bit more with him in case he's bored. Or you could have one, who likes fresh food put down and that's what he's after.

Over the past couple of day I have tried everything I can think of, changed the food down for another packet, changed his water, tried playing with him, tried ignoring him. Nothing works. It's not just when I do housework it's all day and all night, at least until I fall asleep. I love my boy but I'm gonna end up tripping over him or something. His currently sat beside.me pawing at my leg.

Lol I have been very lucky with him.
On Friday I discovered the person who found my cat (his a rescue) and cared for him until he was taken to the rehoming center. I thanked him repeatedly for pretty much saving his life and giving him another chance to be happy with a family.

His gonna hate me tomorrow.....health check at the vets lol
Have a new issue now though. I discovered earlier he had done his mess on my bedroom floor next to hubbys side of the bed I had just cleaned his litter tray too.... this is a first for him and a little worrying. May ask the vet about it tomorrow.

Vets gave him a perfectly clean bill of health, so there's no medical reason why is acting this way.
This evening he has taken to sitting next to me litterally holding onto my dress like a blanket

He is driving me mad
