We’re getting a 14 wk old kitten soon. We’ve never had pets. Can you give me a guide to times you give wet/dry food and water and a bedtime. Thanks

I left dry out all the time and gave wet food 3 or 4 times a day at that age. Water also left out all the time. Bedtime?? Whenever they go to sleep I suppose

Not sure how we achieved it exactly but dcat, who we had at 12 weeks, settled into a routine of breakfast, lunch, tea and supper, and bed when we went, right from the start.
He’s just always been very good in terms of enjoying a lie in too but lots of the cats I read about on here get their slaves up at an ungodly hour. If he does want feeding early I go back to bed and he usually joins me after scoffing his breakfast.
He is the perfect cat!

Bed time! Grin He's got play time and running around as fast as he can scheduled between 2:30am-4am and again between 5:30am-7am, and climbing up your curtains at least once a day...

Seriously though, lots of playtime and attention as you're only getting one - single kittens can get bored and destructive easily... (That's why it's better to get two.)

Food out all the time at that age with a couple of wet food meals at least. And water out all the time of course.

I fed on demand & it was demanded frequently.

Water out all the time, dry food out all the time and wet food at least 3-4 times a day but best to demand feed at that age. They eat a surprising amount as they burn off so much energy. They will sleep on and off all day and night as and when they want. Enjoy!
