My lovely tortie girl is getting on now (she's 17!), and over the last few weeks I have noticed that her claws are getting much longer than they used to me. I guess she doesn't climb up and down fences and trees as much as she used to. It's now getting to the point that the claws snag on almost everything she steps on - blankets, the sofa fabric and our jumpers when we pick her up for a cuddle!
Thing is that taking her to the vet stresses her out soooo much - I now have the vet do a house visit to give her the booster jabs, as I can't face taking her in. But I don't want to arrange a house visit to just get her claws clipped (the booster isn't due until the summer), so I'm wondering if I could do it myself with nail clippers...? Or is that a big No-No?
