I got up this morning to find almost 17 yo Piggycat having problems breathing. Turns out she had a massive heart attack, and my lovely vet, who I got out of bed, said that it was time to let her go.
My boss said I was to work from home today, my mother, who hates cats, has sent me the loveliest message, and so many friends have been so nice - who knew a cantankerous furball had touched so many?
to anyone else going through this right now - it sucks
