Can cats learn what is dangerous from each other?

I dont know much about cat communication or psychology, but I have 4 cats - two are kittens around 4/5 months, and the other day, one of my kittens went into my neighbours garden and got attacked by their 4 dogs - I assume it was mainly the 2 chihuhuas that did it rather than their big dogs as he is still alive and appears to have got away with a broken rib and a split mouth and bruising.

Anyway, He has been much more nervous and not wanting to go outside. I am thinking he wont go anywhere near them anymore, but do you think there is a chance the other kitten will also realise not to go over the fence too if he heard the commotion? Am pretty worried about it, but also dont want to keep them as indoor cats.
Has anyone else had a situation where one cat has learnt a danger from another cat, or would this sort of thinking be reserved for primates etc

I very much doubt it. Can you cat proof your garden?

Its got a pretty tall fence, but i dont think we can properly catproof it.
Hopefully in a few months theyll be bigger than those bloody chihuahas anyway
