Cat playground review: excellent value

The cat playground took a couple of minutes to assemble, but once set up, it's sturdy yet light weight enough to be fairly portable. I like the modular nature of the design, which means that we can remove or add sections as time goes on. At a cost of £0, it's excellent value for money.

Love it! Our ball of fluff claimed the Amazon box I left under the kitchen table. Guess that’s not going in the bin now!

Fantastic. Our house is even more over run with boxes than it is cats. They especially like the big Zooplus boxes that their food gets delivered in and sometimes they even wait until the box is empty before diving in. Must have a go at fashioning the next box into a cat play centre.

They also have a soft spot for the Aldi boxes that come home when I pop in for a few bits and have forgotten my bag for life.

She played with it all evening, bringing some of her toys and 'hiding' them in the small boxes.

As an annexe to the playground, I find a large paper bag with a small ball of crumpled foil thrown into it provides hours of amusement. Sometimes the cat rips a hole in the bottom of the bag and then you get a stealthy paw coming out to nab you!

I found out today that a lone chocolate foil-wrapped ball from an advent calendar will entertain a fat mog for ages!
She made so much noise hurtling round the house with it that the surly pre-teen even vacated his bed early to see what was going on!

CantCat will not go anywhere near boxes. I think he thinks he's a dog :/

This sounds - and looks - spectacular!

We got ourselves a new TV for Christmas and the over-sized box is still in the hallway as they like to slither inside it and ambush our ankles.

If you ever take her on holiday and require a travel-version of a playground I can also recommend big blue Ikea bags. They are excellent for hiding in, crumpling with claws and have handy handles for dragging up the stairs and tripping unsuspecting humans

IKEA bags are great for cat swings. Place cat in bag. Grab handles, lift up and swing cat gently from side to side. Some cats love it, some exit at the speed of a surface to air missile!
