The litter tray

Well M has certainly made herself at home...

She came out of the carrier immediately, ate the entire lunch I'd put down, and then explored the 'safe room' thoroughly while I was still in there.

I went out of the room for a few minutes and left her to it. When I came back, she was waiting patiently by the door wanting to come out into the next room. So we did that, and she explored every nook and cranny.

And she also found time for a game of bat-the-ping-pong-ball and a game of roll-around-the-floor-with-a-catnip-toy.

She has been home less than an hour...

She has a very pretty face. She looks young. Do you know what her story is?

What a great idea placing those fleecy pads on the window ledge. I might steal that. I am forever cleaning hair and paw prints off mine.

thecatneuterer she was brought in aged about 8 months, pregnant with kittens. The kittens have found homes and she has now been microchipped, vaccinated and neutered (you can see the patch of shorter fur on one side). She is about a year old.

The windowsill mat is two small Kerbl beds sewn together, with a piece of non-slip mat underneath. I made it for her before she came home, because in the shelter she seemed particularly fascinated by everything going on outside.

Do you work in the shelter op?
She is just gorgeous, very content kitty by the sounds of things.
My kitten sits in the window and twitters and chirrups at the birds and squirrels, it's adorable.

I don't work in the shelter but had visited her several times.

Some cats just know what to do. They come into the world as if they own it!

She looks as if she's landed on her feet. I hope you have many happy years of cat slavery ahead of you!

She seems very keen to expand her territory to include the rest of the house, but that can wait until tomorrow.
