As my last appeal for kitten fosterers went quite well (all kittens have now either been homed or have a home lined up) I thought I might as well give this a go as we are a bit desperate.
The Celia Hammond Animal Trust have a friendly little, 2 year old approx, black and white girl who has tested positive for feline leukaemia.
As this is catching she is living in an isolation unit at our clinic all by herself. We need to find somewhere for her to go as she is miserable and she is taking up our valuable isolation unit.
Cats with feline leukaemia have a reduced life span and she will probably live another two to five years.
We need to find someone, who preferably lives in a flat or can manage to keep an indoor-only cat inside, and who doesn't have any other cats.
All veterinary costs will be covered by our clinic, but this means that anyone would need to be in a reasonable travelling distance of either our Canning Town or Lewisham clinics.
In reality though there probably won't be many trips to the vet required. She should continue to be well until one day when the illness kicks in and then it will just be a case of pts.
I doubt anyone on here will be able to take her themselves as anyone hanging out in The Litter Tray is likely to have cats already. However you may be able to think of someone you know who could possibly fit the bill.
