Evening all, this is a new thread all about gorgeous Heidi, following on from the thread started by Gatekeeper.

We answered her thread call to give this tiny kitty a new home and we drove from Devon to Durham and back in 24hours to do so...

Now Heidi is settling well at our place after being looked after perfectly by Gatekeeper, and this thread is all about the new life of a very little and brave cat with the bushiest tale known to catkind!

If anyone can link to the original thread it would be much appreciated :)

So here's how today has been....

She has played, explored, eaten, chirruped, mewed and meowed her way through the day, charged about non stop leaving no stone unturned and then slept for a hefty 3.5hours under the dining room table :)

Hopefully I can upload the pictures :)

Yay! Pics uploaded Smile

We are hoping she doesn't try and wake us as much tonight but her being a cat and all I don't hold out much hope :)

I've never seen a cat so confident from the off! I was convinced that she would be hiding in a box or under something until at least Wednesday but nope. Straight round everywhere this morning, no messing, no hiding, just running about chirruping away to us all.

She's been my shadow all day, but even when she went upstairs by herself she's been calling me to come up :)

They'll be no stopping you now! (my first proper thread ended up in Classics and was also an animal rescue story. MN can be a really very kind and uplifting place) Heidi looks very contented in the pics bless her. Glad she's had a good first day Smile

Thank you! Shall be watching with interest.
Stray cats definitely seem very affectionate. Like they spend the rest of their life saying thank you!

She does look very happy, some cats are just instant cat. Mine was an instant cat & hasn't changed.

The tail is magnificent.

Hey Wolfie Smileyeah I know right?? It's even more insane in real life.

We are trying to figure out her heritage because her confidence is setting her apart somehow. Plus the density of the fur, darkness and thickness of her stripes and her little collar as well...she has a ring of proper tuft on her neck like a mini mane.

Any thoughts? MIL says she reckons there's Norwegian Forest Cat in her somewhere.

It is a lovely tale (tail). She is a gorgeous cat-those whiskers and flood ears. I am cat broody.

@overnightangel GrinGrindon't...Christmas will be...interesting! I may charge entrance fee purely because I have a feeling my tree will get battered and I'll need to replace it Grin

Wedgie or a bit of Maine Coon. Does she like playing with water? Mine likes to drown his toy mice in the water dish.

If she does have a bit of Big Cat Breed in her, she will keep growing waay beyond the standard kitten age.

Hi Stew

I thought Maine coon as well, she has a very Maine coony chin! They’re supposed to be a very laid back breed as well.

She is gorgeous and I swear she’s smiling in the photo where you’re fussing her.

Such a lovely thread.
