Christmas presents!

Papergirl1968 · 10/11/2017 10:12

Already purchased for dcat.
A Felix treat tin from Morrison’s and a Paws Off My Christmas Dinner food dish and Whiskers treat stocking from Home Bargains.
Will only get an advent calendar this year if I can see a Dreamies, Felix or Whiskers one as other treats are deemed non-acceptable.
Anyone else get their cats a present?

I tried to order stockings last week but they weren't in stock Blush . Still keeping an eye out though!

It's very sweet of you though. In a card shop yesterday I saw a card that said "Happy Christmas from the dog"

Ours are getting a new cat tree. It's a present for us really because it stops them destroying the sofa Grin

Can’t resist spoiling the precious fur baby at Christmas - and, ahem, all year round...

Of course. I bought mine a bottle of Pawsecco and another, non-alcoholic beverage.

Need to buy gifts for the guineas and rabbits, still.

It will be my boy's first Christmas! He is TOTALLY getting a gift.

I have bought our cat an advent calendar, he's not fussy at all though so is just getting wilkos own Grin he'll get a little present as well- I know some people find it strange but I'm bedbound and he's my most frequent company. Hoping to put a box of treats together for the cats in a local rescue as well.

I get mine & DSis's treats & a new toy (or three), and she does the same for mine. Cat pressies come above pressies for each other Grin

I don't normally, as I am mean and cynical.

But this year has been shitty, and I have lost (amongst other family members), one of my cats. So I am thoroughly treating his brother, and I have bought him at the grand old age of 16, his first advent calendar. It's Wilkos, a bargain at ÂŁ2, buy I have had to hide it in the car as he snuffed it out straight away.

I have also bought one for his 'cousin' aka my sister's cat.

He always receives a card though - we have some manners.

Ohh, I will have to try a Wilkinson advent calendar as he likes Wilkinson treats.
I got him a card today.
Hope 2018 is a better year for you Zebra
Doing a treat box for rescue cats is a lovely thought, Newestbride

I have been known to spend more on Harry than DH Blush

This year he’ll probably get a new bowl and some catnip toys (Harry that is, I’ve no idea what to get DH!)

Aww, thank you Papergirl - that's really kind! May 2018 bring you and Papercat much happiness also Smile

NB I think the Wilkos calendar is catnip. He's not usually that bothered by catnip but was really obsessed by this one, so maybe it's quite strong?

The big hit last year was a santa on a fishing rod toy from The Range. Will be stocking up if they have them this year. Santa only withstood the abuse for a couple of months!

Oh god, I'm not going to be spending mine with my two, they'll be all alone apart from visits from the cat-sitter! I feel like a terrible and heartless person, completely unworthy of their love!

Mantra I think Harry actually prefers the cat sitter to me! Apparently he comes in when she calls (he runs and hides from me) and she’s allowed to groom him while he lays on the bed purring!

Turncoat!

I didn't even know cat advent calendars were a thing.

I'm going to get my little man a memory foam bed. He's already got one, but I feel like it's a bit small. I got it from Jolley's dog section about a month ago and I can't get him off it half the time. It currently sits in his "judging spot" where he looks out the window and judges everyone, and he'd rather stay there at night than come to bed with us in our warmer bedroom with his lovely cosy igloo type bed. I'm going to find him another one either bigger, or with an igloo type top to hide in. He undoubtedly won't care come Christmas, will ignore it for three days then reluctantly get in when we're not looking.

Ooh, you just reminded me, Inappropriate, I bought them an antique dolls bed to recline on. I'll paint it and get a little memory foam mattress for It. That's their gift sorted.

Harry's just keeping you on your toes Pink.

So far we have got Turkey flavoured Dreamies, Lily's Kitchen foil trays x 2 each and some Felix treats. Would like to get a few more bits though.

I love the Christmas dinner bowls, but not sure whether it's worth it... I'd probably use them for about a week out of a year... and would need two.

How much are they please?

I’ll let you know when I can find my receipt, catlady.
I’ve just been looking on the Pets At Home site and am tempted by the reindeer kicker toy, Turkey flavoured dreamies, dreamies stocking and Xmas laser pen!

Does anyone else get fed up of how much of a selection is available for dogs at Christmas time, yet there's hardly anything cats?

It's hard work spoiling these moggies!
