My 7 month old girl Ellie has been neutered and it's the day she needs the stitches out. 2 unsuccessful attempts to get her in the cat carrier I m having a coffee before the next bout.
She's normally an easy going little thing but today she's like an eel! Slipping away everywhere. Have put a few cat treats in, she managed to grab and run
I can't just grab her as don't want to hurt her tummy.
What is infuriating is she has been playing in the box and sleeping in it happily last night. It's like she knows I m going to close the door thing and where she's off to. And my car is on a meter right now (one hour ticket). Why are they so clever? They can read our minds the little monsters!Grin

Bundle her up in a towel - usually works for our boy. Good luck Wink

For some reason, I don't struggle with getting them in there! You could put the box on a table, back end of the box up against a wall, so that it doesn't slip away, get cat and put in box rear end first. Scribble's towel idea is a good one.

No matter how casual I am mine always know when a Vet visit is imminent. Hope you manage to get her in the box!

Confine her to one room. Make sure it doesn’t have anything she can hide under out of reach and you’ll get her eventually! GrAb her by the scruff of the neck.

I had the same problem earlier in the week with my usually friendly older cat. She was hissing at me and I just couldn't get her in her carrier. Think wrapping her in a towel is a good idea as previous poster suggested (wish I'd thought of that).

Success! She wasn't impressed and I have a few scratches but now her stitches are out and she's microchipped. And absolutely no fuss in the vets, acted like a little angel after being the hellcat monster. Rolled her up in my shirt and stuffed her in in the end

I have that fun to look forward to tomorrow. Missy is not going to be impressed. Wish me luck!

PS She's gorgeous!

Good luck tomorrow timeihadanamechange. She's lovely and normally a gentle little soul but she can obviously read my mind! Turned into feral monster cat when she was getting put in the carrier. Of course no one believes me at the vet where she's an absolute delight!

Both of mine are going for a dental on Monday. Trying to get one is fine. Both is a bit of a pain! Though once I’ve caught them they are as good as gold.

Actually I m really glad it wasn't the older one. She's bad enough when I put the flea stuff on her, she acts like I m approaching with deadly poison
