Ok my cat has done a horrible smelling shit and I can’t find it.

It’s definitely in the bedroom, I’ve looked everywhere. Except obviously I haven’t.

Where might a cat do a “secret poo?”

I’ve checked on my shelves, under the bed, in the pile of fresh washing, in the cupboard. NOTHING.

I’ve tried following the scent 😷 but it’s nowhere to be seen. Please help me before I have to check in to a hotel or sell up!!!

I’ve just checked the shoes, nothing.

Oh god fangs he did it right after I’d given him a treat stick... although I didnt give him the full thing so maybe that’s why.

are you sure it is in the bedroom? Only we have a litter tray on the top landing and sometimes the only place you can smell that is the corner of the dining room....two flights down and around a corner

it's inexplicable.

Sorry, no help at all but this is the funniest thing I've read todayGrin

Now I know why I don't own cats. Hope you find your stray 💩

Actually IN the bed? Christ, I almost don’t want to look 😷

statue I’m pretty sure. The bedroom is at the end of a corridor and is the only room there (small house) and when I walk towards it the smell becomes potent 😷

I’m going to check in the bed.

Any pile of things that look like they'd be the most difficult to clean.

Might be a, ahem, loose number. In that case it could have slid out of immediate plain sight.

GOOD LUCK.

Am overly invested in a Saturday evening cat shit now. Good old Mumsnet.

It’s not in the bed.

I really need to turn the heating on because I’m absolutely freezing but I can’t can I? It’ll just make it 1000000x worse.

Where the hell is it???

Ok so it could have... “slid” somewhere. I’ve looked down the back of the wardrobe/ chest of drawers. It can’t have Just disappeared!! Confused

He’s normally very good and never does it outside the tray. Why tonight when all I wanted to do was sit and watch tv with a glass of wine???

Bit of a dodgy question but what colour are your carpets?
Could It have done a more runny poo right in a corner and its sort of er... run into the carpet?

I like the above suggestion to release some flies into the room and see where they go

Our cat does this a lot. Her favourite place is under the bed - we have to take the mattress off to see where. She also did it on the window ledge and stained the upvc Blush Good luck hunting it down!
