Ok my cat has done a horrible smelling shit and I can’t find it.

It’s definitely in the bedroom, I’ve looked everywhere. Except obviously I haven’t.

Where might a cat do a “secret poo?”

I’ve checked on my shelves, under the bed, in the pile of fresh washing, in the cupboard. NOTHING.

I’ve tried following the scent 😷 but it’s nowhere to be seen. Please help me before I have to check in to a hotel or sell up!!!

Under the bedclothes
Behind the curtains
NDN's cat got on top of the wardrobe and poo'd down the back of it 😖

Send in a fly...... then follow it 😂

I’ve just checked the shoes, nothing.

Oh god fangs he did it right after I’d given him a treat stick... although I didnt give him the full thing so maybe that’s why.

Didn’t think of on top of the wardrobe, will check now.

Kitee Sat 28-Oct-17 19:39:28

Nope not there.

The smell is wafting through the whole house now.

In the bed.

That's where my cats always used to shit.

I no longer have cats

PurplePillowCase Sat 28-Oct-17 19:42:42

threaten with the vet unless he shows you?

FangsAlot Sat 28-Oct-17 19:44:29

Yes the bed, one of mine shat in my bed

StatueInTheSky Sat 28-Oct-17 19:44:51

are you sure it is in the bedroom? Only we have a litter tray on the top landing and sometimes the only place you can smell that is the corner of the dining room....two flights down and around a corner

it's inexplicable.

Doyouthinktheysaurus Sat 28-Oct-17 19:45:57

Sorry, no help at all but this is the funniest thing I've read todaygrin

Now I know why I don't own cats. Hope you find your stray 💩

Kitee Sat 28-Oct-17 19:49:29

Actually IN the bed? Christ, I almost don’t want to look 😷

statue I’m pretty sure. The bedroom is at the end of a corridor and is the only room there (small house) and when I walk towards it the smell becomes potent 😷

I’m going to check in the bed.

Any pile of things that look like they'd be the most difficult to clean.

Might be a, ahem, loose number. In that case it could have slid out of immediate plain sight.

Am overly invested in a Saturday evening cat shit now. Good old Mumsnet.

Kitee Sat 28-Oct-17 19:53:51

It’s not in the bed.

I really need to turn the heating on because I’m absolutely freezing but I can’t can I? It’ll just make it 1000000x worse.

Where the hell is it???

FangsAlot Sat 28-Oct-17 19:54:29

"And what did you do Saturday night? Pub? Meal?"
"Er actually I spent it hunting a hidden cat shit" grin

BrokeAndBad Sat 28-Oct-17 19:55:34

Little shit

Kitee Sat 28-Oct-17 19:56:36

pod 😂

Ok so it could have... “slid” somewhere. I’ve looked down the back of the wardrobe/ chest of drawers. It can’t have Just disappeared!! confused

He’s normally very good and never does it outside the tray. Why tonight when all I wanted to do was sit and watch tv with a glass of wine???

flutterby12 Sat 28-Oct-17 19:57:34

On the radiator?

Justabadwife Sat 28-Oct-17 19:58:43

Bit of a dodgy question but what colour are your carpets?
Could It have done a more runny poo right in a corner and its sort of er... run into the carpet?

BreakfastAtSquiffanys Sat 28-Oct-17 19:59:01

I like the above suggestion to release some flies into the room and see where they go
