My lovely cat has possibly FIP. We are devastated. It's the little accidental kitten from last year.

I'm in tears. They are running test but there is a strong suspicion of Fip.

Oh he's lovely. What's FIP?

Soupoftheday1975 Sun 24-Sep-17 20:56:04

It's an illness I have never heard about before that can't be cured.

Oh no. I hope it's not, it was lovely to read your recent update on how he'd grown up.

Weedsnseeds1 Sun 24-Sep-17 21:11:39

I'm so sorry to hear that. He's a beautiful little boy.

Soupoftheday1975 Sun 24-Sep-17 21:12:13

Poor you. One of mine was really poorly in February. I was a wreck as well. It's horrible. But I did find it a massive comfort that she knew she was loved had had a good life with me. Some how she pulled through though. Paws crossed.

Hi everyone.

Billy is still at the vet. I had an update this morning : he is nice and bright and the temp is normal. Yesterday he had a scan and they saw he had enlarged lymph nodes. He has been tested for lymphoma and we should hear the results today. We will hear the results for the Fip on Thursday or Friday. The vet is giving me absolutely no hopes as the blood test completely point at Fip, the dry one.

You must be heartbroken. If its the dry one its better isnt it? He may be well for abit longer. What a cruel trick xxx

Soupoftheday1975 Tue 26-Sep-17 11:26:20

I'm heartbroken, it's the last straw after a long serie of sad things happening to our family.

friendlyflicka Thu 28-Sep-17 20:40:05

I hope not. I lost a cat to FIP. Hoping the vet is wrong

Papergirl1968 Fri 29-Sep-17 16:16:08

Any news, Soup?

Soupoftheday1975 Fri 29-Sep-17 16:32:51

We had to let him go this morning, we are heartbroken. He was not himself, burning up with fever. He had to take a lot of pills which it was impossible to give to him. He was supposed to have injection and temperature taken every couple of days. He didn't want this anymore, he didn't want to be prodded. It was on of the hardest things to do.
