Hi have two cats brother and sister. The male cat when he goes out waits on the same patch of grass for another cat to turn up! Every night at the same time I always thought they didn't get on with other cats!!

One of mine is friends with the neighbour's cat Grin he waits outside the front door for her and they have a cuddle and go off to play together. My other 2 cats don't like him though however much he tries!

Ours used to have two mates, the little black cat (who was actually massive) & the ginger long hair.

They'd go off on adventures, it was lovely.

Our dear departed boy when I was a teenager, had a best friend who lived at the end of the tow of houses. They would groom and sleep with each other. If we couldn't find Pepper we knew he'd be at Oscar's house.

Yes mine was best mates with the ginger tom two doors down, who used to come into our garden to play!

WattoCat has a girlfriend. They like to curl up together on the shed roof. It's so cute!

I was cat-sitting for my parents once and their cat disappeared for 48 hours. I was frantic with worry, then one morning I saw it stroll lazily into the garden alongside another cat, looking very friendly. They'd obviously been painting the town red together. He came and had a feed then wanted to head straight out with his pal again (who was waiting outside) but I wouldn't let him as I didn't want him disappearing again.
Once my parents returned, he was never seen with his cat friend again.

DramaCat has a thing going on with the neighbours' cat. It's very sweet. They talk to each other & play fight.

They definitely form bonds of some kind. Our cat pined and definitely mourned when her sister was run over :( She kept walking around the house looking for her and from then on changed her behaviour, as I think the other cat was more adventurous and they'd previously gone out together.

Surviving cat lived a long and very happy life after that but always stayed close to home.

It's lovely isn't it! Girl cat doesn't seem bothered about friends.

I have posted this photo many times on here when people have previously asked this question. Here are my two gingers with their friend from next door. Cats can definitely make friends with other cats!

My cats are friends with each other but hate all other cats. I think Zara sees Bibi as her naughty little sister - she's forever grooming her and trying to make her presentable. They play wrestle a lot but sometimes Bibi will push it too far and then Zara has to remove herself. Bibi has a little devil on her shoulder.

Yes! My cat and the cat next door (both boys) are buddies. They come in for each other and follow each other about the gardens. They have the odd tiff but always go back to being friends.

Old Boy Cat definatly did, his mate would meow at the back door for him to come out.

Old Girl Cat has never left the back garden (will only go in the back garden in summer if the temp is high enough...)But will run out in all weathers if she sees the hedgehog Grin. They sit next to each other for about 30 minutes then Hedgie goes off to do Hedgehog things and see come back in...

Sadly we've never been able to get a photo as Hedgie wobbles off if s/he even suspects we're near.

My old cat had a friend down the road. They would go to meet each other in the street and hang around outside, as well as sometimes running around in each other's houses. Subsequent cats have been antisocial bastards.

Yes, my ladycat hates our other boy cats but adores the magnificent Maine Coone over the road. They like to sit on the edge of his pond of an evening and look in. He comes and calls for her too.
I used to have two boys who were bonded and would sleep wrapped around each other, paws over bellies. One sadly was run over so we eventually got another and the remaining cat has fallen for him too and they sleep in a heap. Some cats need a cat friend.

My Mum's Cat has a friend! It's a beautiful white Cat (my Mum thinks it's a Girl as her Cat lets "her" come into her house) and they hang out together in the garden. Mum thinks hers is a bit sweet on the white one, despite being done years ago!

He has definitely had enemies too, there was one fierce ginger Tom that he would be terrified of - even hiding in Mum's wardrobe if he saw him from the window Sad.

Dboycat is in love with next doors boy cat and vice versa.

Unfortunately they will insist on humping each other in the driveway in full view of the road..! We do tell them , but they dont care as it seems that they are 'out'

We have the only gay cats in the village!? (perhaps? ) Grin

My cat and her sister were best buds and she really pined when her sister was run over.
They also had a little black and white cat pal who would visit the garden and they'd all head bump each other
Cat only gets out in the garden which is now enclosed, but she and Mr black and white touch noses through the fence!

The cat next door sometimes visits and we don't know he's in until we hear two thumps (cat jumping of the he'd thumps) and they appear together in the kitchen. Apparently he does the same at next doors too. There's a cat over the road that they don't get on with at all. They join forces to chase him.

Old Boy had a girlfriend at our last house (I felt awful when we moved and they couldn't play anymore), we called her Tinkerbell and she was ^gorgeous^ Smile We got Girl Kitten (I say kitten, she's 16 months old Blush) last year though and they seem to have a similar relationship so I think he's just an old flirt. Indoor play only these days sadly, he's almost 14 and has an infiltrative lipoma so his mobility isn't good enough to risk him going outside but it doesn't stop them playing kiss chase up and down the stairs in the middle of the night Grin

My old fluffy cat used to be friends with the big ginger cat up the road. Said ginger cat was sworn enemy of our other cat.

After fluffy cat died, ginger would still come looking for her Sad
