At my wits end (cat smell)

So we recently moved home - it's been a couple of months now and I am having some real trouble with cat smell. It was never an issue at the old house so I can't understand it - both homes had carpet.

When we moved older cat had some issues with not using litter tray. We THINK this has stopped and we have rug-doctored and enzyme cleaned.

Please can anyone advise on managing cat smell? It's making me not want to come home Sad as it hits you as soon as you come in the door.

Also elderflowers can smell like cat wee... could it be a plant or something nearby?

Already on it with the covered cat trays! You may be onto something with the paint - only two of our rooms smell of cat Confused
