I have a girl cat who is so sweet and a home body. She has been spaye. She goes into her tiny yard but no further, has a litter tray in the utility room but sometimes has a wee in the yard (bit strange?).
I routinely have three visiting male cats (unneutered) who come say hi to her. Two are obviously pets and are very vocal, EXTREMLY sometimes. It's really annoying. They prowl the yard yowling for her and wait on the garden wall to see if she will come out. She will not go out if they are there.the third cat is a very tatty wild looking guy with fur missing, scars and is obviously a stray. He startles quickly when he sees us but otherwise is very calm and lady cat is comfortable sitting in her yard if he's on the wall.
Lady cat always goes up to bed with DD at 10pm latest and tonight I was shocked to hear meowing from the kitchen/utility area. I went through a few mins later to check and tatty cat was in my house! He's stood there helping himself to her food bowl (lady cat is a grazer) and when I go into the utility room he has used her litter tray!! Well I hope it's the litter tray, it smells of cat wee and the light is broken! I calmly opened the back door saying "you don't live here" and he ran out 😂
Obviously he was hungry so I can't get mad at him for that but how can I stop all three cats coming in my yard (and house) all the bloody time?! I've tried water sprays and a kids supersoaker and they worked for a while but they always come back.
Ideas please?
