I'm currently cat sitting for a neighbour. One old grumpy cat, one 3-year old dude and one 7-month old kitten. Kitten is doing a Grand Prix circuit of the house and balcony shouting MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. She's so cute, like a little grey squirrel with a huge fluffy tail Grin

Please tell me I don't want another kitten! kitty broody

No, you don't ...

but you DO want to adopt a quiet, loving, old man or lady from your local rescue centre?

Don't you?

Grin

We got a new cat from the rescue centre last week. He's gorgeous but my heart did melt at the kittens!

Think of the health of your curtains? Grin

I had to replace all mine the last time I had a kitten - she was up and down them all day long.

Our kittens used to hide up the chimney, which was messy. Not to mention bloody noisy, when we attempted to clean the sooty little buggers...

You're forgetting what hard work kittens are - the cuteness doesn't make up for all the exhausting neediness. So no, you definitely don't want another kitten.

We got our cat at 10 weeks old, and he was very good, even for a kitten. I'm sure he's been on this earth before. I think we were incredibly lucky with him.
Currently thinking of getting another cat, unsure whether to go for a kitten (which might acclimatise to another cat and a rather boisterous dog better), or a slightly older cat. Kittens are cute, but I doubt we would be so lucky twice.

Ok I hear what you're saying buuutttt....

Squirrell kitten has just rubbed her face on my face, several times. I've just got over the death of my little boy two months ago so shouldn't be making any decisions right now!

I lost a cat very recently too. Your cat would want you to share the love you gave to him with another kitty :)

Thanks, I'm home now with my two girls. Smile

I'm so happy with them but God, I forgot how much joy a kitten can bring to the household Grin

My Berlioz cat loves the sink too!!!

My black cat sits in the sink and yowls until I turn the tap on. And he drinks out of the bath...whilst I'm in it (he's not allowed if there's bubbles though)

Lol yes, he's partial to bath water too! I caught him doing this the other day too. He's a very silly kitten!
