Ticks on cat

One of my cats is very shy and skittish. I don't know where he goes but he keeps getting ticks. I have a tick twister which is great for when I catch him but today he had 5 on his head and 2 had burst and he has scratched all the fur off where they were. He just gets them all the time especially around his head.

Does anyone have any recommendations for some kind of tick repellent? I've googled but I'm not sure exactly which works and he's such a nervous cat I dont think I'd be able to shampoo him or anything. It also has to be something I can do by myself as he only let's me touch him.

My dog has a Seresto collar which works really well - he's not had a tick when wearing one. However, I would be reluctant to put the cat version on a cat without knowing if they would come off if the collar gets caught.

How about this www.petdrugsonline.co.uk/prescriptions/b/bravecto-250-mg-spot-on-solution-for-medium-cats-(2-8-–-6-25-kg)

I don't have a cat, but this year we started using the oral version of bravecto for our dog. With the spread of lyme disease, ticks need to be taken seriously.

I am using Bravecto as my boy kept picking up ticks. 2 months into the first dose and all well so far. It's a spot on and lasts 3 months.

Thanks so much. I'll get some spot on treatment and hope that helps.
