Anyone got any ideas for feeding a fussy older cat.....!!

Our moggie has always been a big cat, neutered and a very avid hunter. He's now 13/14, and has really suffered in the last 12 months with recurrent sinus infections. He's had many courses of antibiotics, so with the last episode the vet recommended x-raying his sinuses, a wash out whilst he was under, and blood tests to rule out anything more. All came back as normal, but it's completely knocked the stuffing out of him tbh and I'm starting to wish I'd never had it done. He still goes in and out for wees etc, but he's got incredibly fussy over food. He has good quality dried left out, and odd sachets of wet food but he's turning his nose up at most of it at the moment. I'm cautious about taking him back to the vet as the last bill was nearly £400 and we're no further forward........he would always eat Felix as good as it looks, or Sheba but I've even tried Lilys kitchen this week and he sniffed it and walked away!!! Any suggestions very welcome, we had an older cat we rescued many years ago and she ate anything and everything up to the day she died!

My nearly 12 year old likes Natures Menu, the normal and Country Hunter. Of course I can't buy the multipack as he doesn't like all the flavours but we seem to have 4 that are to sir's liking - this week!

Try the gourmet gold pate tins. You can buy them individually to see if he likes them. My 19 year old isn't too fussy but these are her favourite.

Thrive chicken in the tins is like crack for cats. As is the Thrive chicken food topper

Pilchards in tomato sauce (yes really!) is crack to cats.

Also blast his food in the microwave for 10-20 seconds before serving to warm through and boost the stink-factor - if he's had sinus trouble he may we'll have lost some smell and taste so serving extra-stinky food will help

Thanks for the ideas. We have a super fussy cat too. She will turn down poached salmon, roast chicken and any white fish which has been cooked over an hour before. Only cooled, fresh food will do. She won't even eat the new Gourmet Soup range, Sheba or any individual pate tins from Gourmet. When she moved in she was an abandoned mess who ate anything. Two years on and she's a righ madam! 😉

Our 19year old cat loves Gourmet Cat Soup. It's ridiculously expensive, which I'm sure is why he likes it, but he laps it down.
He's missing teeth and is a bit doddery but this is the food of his choice after trying everything else. He used to like Felix AGAIG, but he then started sicking it up. He's not sick Cat Soup.

Sorry, not Gourmet..I meant the Sheba Cat Soup...doesn't have the vegetables in it.
