I've bought butchers delight wet & Iams dry- based on something about meat ratios so I just looked for the highest in the very small selection of our ASDA.

I want to do my best for our new addition and I'm worried I'll get it wrong Blush

Congratulations on your new cat!

Some good advice here:
consciouscat.net/2012/03/22/the-best-food-for-your-cat/

Generally go for grain free and as much protein content from meat as possible.

We use Nature's Menu Country Hunter -- I look online for a good price. The Free Range Chicken variety contains 75% chicken and 21% chicken hearts (bleugh), and it's 10.5% protein.

I think Butchers, Lily's Kitchen, and James Well-beloved are also high in protein, but haven't tried them with our cat.

Encore dry and Butchers wet both from
Ocado are grain and sugar free

Alternatively arden grange dry from fetch or pets at home

hi life wet is also grain/sugar free

Once a week you can feed sardines in spring water as well as boiled fish (frozen) or chicken
