So we adopted a nine year old cat name megan before Christmas. She was so Nervy and underweight (5lbs). Shed been mistreated and handled roughly. She's made great progress and has recently started doing this (lying on my lap) im so happy! Please share ur pics and stories. Would love to see and hear xx

This is ours adopted from Cats Protection in Oct 2008. She's now 14, a bit skinny due to health issues but is very gentle and happy.
Her owner had died so she went to live with the family who had her mum but they weren't getting on.

I guess that Seniorboy was a 'sort of' rescue. Wink (He came to live with me when my mother died.) Here's a photo I've just taken. (Apologies that it's so dark but my device is wilful this evening.)

PuffinCat joined us last August. Found on the streets upduffed. I suspect she was an indoor cat that escaped and got lost. She's a bit mad but in a good way usually.

This is Molly. I adopted her from a rescue centre in 2002 when she was 5 and my daughter was 4. Molly will be 20 in the summer and my DD is now at uni.

My two ragdolls from Battersea. They didn't come from a bad background but they are quite high maintenance.

These are my two rescue kittys, abandoned in an empty house when their elderly owner died suddenly. The tortie and white is the mum cat, and the ginger and white is her son.

Told part of this before but Dave was rescued as a kitten when born outside. The owner wasn't looking after mum or kittens at all so they were rescued by local cat sanctuary. The kittens were very timid so were fostered by one of the volunteers at the cat sanctuary. 2 of the kittens have heart problems (including Dave!) I was sent a picture of him when I enquired about a kitten and decided to adopt him. After a few health scares and lots of cuddles and strokes he settled in and is a big part of our lives. Nearly a year later he is doing fine- just been for his vacs and his heart seems to have improved too!

My darling Princesses Magic and Maia. Aka fattycat and Snorg maiden. Wasn't looking for a cat as I live near a busy road and work long shifts/ flicking through Facebook one day and saw a the picture below, and a post that said 'can't believe these two have had no interest in five weeks.' That did it, I fell in love. Phoned the rescue and every single argument about having them fell apart. It was fate. They were breeding queens and kept in what sounds like a kitten farm. They were very traumatised and are rubbish at being cat's. The progress they've made in 18 moths is amazing. They are not the brightest but very affectionate.

I'm just here for the photos.

My childhood rescue cats sadly now departed but they had the best personalities. One used to go on dog walks.
