My cat is 9yo, unneutered moggie who lives inside. She has recently started leaving quite large wee spots where she has been sitting (was on bed linen, windowsills, back of sofa etc until we started limiting her roaming to one toweled out room). It happened the first time about 6 weeks ago, vet suggested cystitis and gave medicine which she took but it had already really cleared up by the time we got her to vets ( had to wait a week to get an appointment I could get to). It has now come back with a vengeance so will be heading back to vet and suspect they will suggest cystitis again. Does that sound right or could it be something else? Really want to sort this as poor kitty is very restricted in her one room but I can't let her roam with this er... problem. Have attractive picture of spotting on bed linen if anyone thinks it would help to see.

That sounds a strong possibility, I'm afraid. Sortable though.

Does she use a tray?

Yes she uses a tray and is generally very good with it. The spotting is def not spraying as it's always found in places where she has been napping or sitting for a while. I'll get a vets appointment asap.

Why is she unneutered? It causes all sorts of problems in indoor cats, including stress behaviours and something resembling psychosis. I would get her done at the same appointment.
