Co-sleeping with kittens

Ozzy loves to sneak in between us in bed at night. It's quite lovely. But Mr Cakes worries he'll get squashed or over heat or something. He won't, will he?

No! And I actually laughed out loud when I read your post. The kitten will have an in built survival technique. You squash him in your sleep and he will wiggle and squirm away. He's all after his own comfort, not yours!

Oh how lovely to have a kitten again.

I've slept with Siamese - cats and kittens - for many many years (no choice in the matter, really) and not squashed one yet. Smile The unconscious seems to know that they're in the bed.

The kitten will be fine.

That's what I thought. Bless Mr Cakes. I think sometimes he forgets he's not an actual baby!

I think you've forgotten something, cakes. (Tut tut, shakes head)Grin

Yes Cakes, you have forgotten something. Starts with P and ends with H Wink

Dearly departed DH was terrified of squashing Little M, who was tiny as a kitten, and would sleep between us practically comatose. He survived, and now stretches out and takes up 3/4 of the bed's width. With MCat at the end, doesn't leave a lot of room for me.

"They're very .......discreet as well"

If you're referring to bed time activities, Little M was the complete opposite of discreet. We'd have to shut him out. Nothing more disconcerting than a little inquisitive kitten face staring at you, after he's managed to clamber up for a better view, with a Shock Confused Grin face.

Clearly Siamese have better manners than Devons!

Haha, Ozzy is not discreet at all! You've all seen him before, but here he is again...

Not so sure about the manners, Mantra. I suspect that Siamese simply get T'd off that it's not about them for once and retire somewhere. Grin

Isn't Ozzie handsome, showing off his toe beans! A British Short Hair?

I was really worried at first with sleeping with Ernie as I was worried I tossing and turning OH would crush him.

I finally relented when he was about 14 weeks ish, after reading some posts on here. That was over a year ago and even though he has had the odd night elsewhere he sleeps upstairs all the time.... he has moved to his own bed in alcove though...as he isnt a snuggling up to you cat got kicked by OH too many times probably

Bibi isn't discreet in the slightest. She powers in, takes up the best pillow, and prods me with the very end of her claw if I move in any way she disapproves of. She owns me.
