The litter tray

New foster cats arrived

Picked up our new fosters last night. Turns out they are brother and sister rather than the two boys I expected. She is a petite torte and he is a long slinky ginger and white. Both friendly and fairly confident. Unfortunately he has has had a bad flea allergic reaction and has an area of badly infected skin on his tummy. He's has an antibiotic jab and some steroids so it should clear up fairly quickly. They can't be rehomed until we're sure he is on the mend. The vet said that another charity he works with would have put him to sleep rather than treating him.
I have currently lost him but she is snuggling (please excuse the mess in the background. I can't tidy up, I have a cat on my knee!).

Lovely cat! Grrr to the charity who would PTS for something treatable like that. Hope the boy comes out of hiding soon.

The mess? Dear Goodness, you wouldn't need to see cozietowers. Grin

Boy cat. He is very long, long legs, long tail, long body. They are well settled. Someone has made it on to the top of the fridge in search of treats but there has also been a lot of sitting on knees. And eating, like they have never seen food before.

He looks lovely too. Sounds like they're quite confident kitties.

They are both lovely contented cats. When they go to their forever home we'll get more, they might be even nicer Smile.

This box is only slightly too small for comfort. His tummy is all healed up now, one more vaccination and they will be off.

Have they a home lined up? Smile

Not yet cozie but they will not have to wait long when they go on the webpage. Its two weeks until their final vaccination then I would expect them to go almost immediately. In their favour they are young, tame, cuddly and cute. They should go to a house with outside access and they have to go together which are potential downsides, but they will find a home. We have a really fast turn over of cats in our branch of CP, the average stay in fostering is about 4 weeks. Cats with up to date vaccinations etc can go in a few days if everything falls into place.

The box is a better fit for the girl, but she's not sure she likes it!

They look a fab duo so would imagine they'll be rehomed easily.

I guess they'll receive a glowing report from chemenger. That will help. Smile

They are going to their new home next weekend. They were snapped up a day after they went on the CP website. They have been lovely to have around. Not many cats waiting to come in for fostering at the moment so I'm not sure when the next ones will arrive.

A foster home empty and waiting? They'll be grinning from side to side.

(How are you with kittens? Wink)

Oh these cats are gorgeous. I would love to foster. Can you foster if you already have a cat?

You can foster if you have a cat but you have to keep them separate from the foster cats.

Thanks for letting me know. That might be a bit difficult then.

And they've gone... to a lovely family. It sound as though they are causing mayhem with their climbing and jumping antics, but I'm sure they'll be fine once they settle down. Our house is very quiet.Sad. Dh gave me a lovely birthday present of a photo album of every cat we have had, that made me unexpectedly tearful, such lovely cats now at rhe rainbow bridge, but lots more pages to fill up with fosters until we get another forever cat.
