I have found the Christmas period a tough reminder of the loss of our Siamese boy cat. However I couldn't have coped without the support from The Litter Tray. In memory of all the dearly departed cats here is a photo of my boy. He was truly the bestest

Your boy was gorgeous and I completely understand your feelings. I have had many cats over the years and each one has left a little hole in my heart. Here is a photo of Dotty (the black and white cat) with her newly adopted brother who we had recently acquired, along with his brother, from a local rescue centre. She was the most gentle, loving, accepting cat we have ever had and although it has been two years since we had to have her PTS I still miss her terribly.

Beautiful cats. They do leave such a big hole when they go. Here is my old girl Molly who lived to the age of 18, 17 of those were with us.

Thanks Rusty. We have just adopted a pair of cats, one is tabby girl, the other is a stunning black and white boy. I am already deeply in love! I'd still give anything to have my old girl sat on my lap one more time though.

This is our lovely boy who we didn't have for long but was a huge part of our family. He was hit by a car in December.

What a lovely thread.

Rusty such a gentle looking boy! Icequeen how lovely that Dotty is snuggled with her adoptive brother. Posie Molly looks so sweet all curled up.

Here is my cat Merlin - she was my first cat and I had her from kittenhood. She lived to be 15 and was PTS 2 1/2 years ago - I still think of her every day.

Thank you Trusty, I just felt the need to remember our dear lost cats. Merlin is lovely. Looks very wise but also a hint of playfulness about her. Beautiful eyes

I remember your thread, RP. So sad, yet so much love.

I hope your beautiful Bengal is helping with the healing process. and didn't do too much damage to your Christmas tree

Haha thank you Mantra, Bengal boy absolutely loved Christmas. We are still finding baubles hidden under the bed. We sent an email to his previous owners with photos taken during his time with us. We love him very much. Hope your cats have enjoyed the festive period too

Posie, what a lovely photograph of your old girl. I call that position "The Prawn". I have a black and white too. Who (thankfully) is snuggled into me. Doing "The Prawn".

'The Prawn'? I recognise that pose. Little girl cat loves it. Now we can put a name to it. Now I must post a photo of little girl wrapped up in her Christmas blanket

Mine are hoarders too RP. But they seem to make things vanish, like magicians.

Glad your boy is settled in nicely. Did you ever buy him that scary glove toy with pom-poms at the end of the fingers? That image did make me Grin at a difficult time.

RustyPaperclip · 02/01/2017 23:25

Haha no, I didn't. Although we have just splashed on a new cat scratching post with multiple levels I'm still tempted by the Pom Pom glove though

Sorry for your sad losses, and thank you to their dear souls that inhabited our lives and remain in residence there once their bodies are left behind.

Still shedding tears here for my dc's beautiful little soul now residing in us forever. DC managing pretty well considering but i find painful reminders still cropping up as only recently pts a week before xmas. RIP darling one.

I'm sorry for your loss Shriek, and what an awful time to lose a DCat. But there's no "good time" to lose a loved one is there?

Have a hug from the Mantra Pride - which consists of me, MCat and Little M.

I'm so sorry Shriek, and my apologies if my thread brought back painful memories, it wasn't my intention at all Flowers
