Bittersweet coincidence

2 weeks ago I had to have my beautiful white cat put to sleep. I was absolutely broken and everyone on here was so so lovely. Despite saying I wouldn't have another cat (and certainly not a kitten) I ended up at my local RSPCA rehoming centre this morning... and against all the odds have ended up bringing home the scrappiest, scrawniest little white kitten. When I got her home and out of her carrier, I burst into tears when I realised in the middle of her head, she has a splodge of black hairs, exactly the same as my beautiful Willow did when I first got her.
She's not a replacement for Willow, she can never be replaced, but I kind of feel like it's a sign I was meant to have this particular kitten.

Of course Willow will never be replaced. However I feel that she's sent this precious little kitten as a way to slowly begin to heal your heart.

Thats a great name , when my mum got her Ragdoll kitten 15 years ago that is what my DS named him , he just gets called snowby or snowy . Will check back later for the pics .

Not a pointless post at all. I love posts like this. I be always felt like my cats were fate and it was meant to be and it just makes them even more special. And I'm sure your new addition will do the same. You will always remember Willow every time you look at Snowball though she'll never replace her. Looking forward to pics!

Literally the scrawniest little bundle of fur I think I've ever seen. Lots of love and cuddles and some good food and hopefully she'll blossom just as much as my beautiful Willow did

Weeds they said she's 12 weeks but I'm a little (very) dubious about that! Very surprised to discover she's already been spayed.
Spider she's a little nervous, but she's eaten and is now ensconced in her bed with a blanket. Know it will take a while for her to adjust so just lots of patience and cuddles for her until she settles in

She's lovely. White cats are wonderful. But putting sun cream on his ears in summer was a nightmare!

Congratulations OP. Your post has made me cry again, although I've been crying all day - I lost my beloved cat suddenly on Wednesday.

Of course Snowbell won't replace Willow but ok sure she'll help your broken heart to heal x

Aww she's lovely. Snowball is an excellent name.

I lost my beautiful cat at only a year old and I said there was no way I would have another for a v long time, I couldn't bear the heartbreak.

I lasted a few weeks, and then just had a little look and Sparklingcat came up for adoption. She had been given up as her owner had had a baby and didn't want her any more.

I ended up with a cat that looks nothing like my last but has a very similar personality.

toddler oh god the sun cream. We took in a stray whose ears were a mess and we tried so hard to get sun cream on her! She's also the only cat I've had who would sit in blazing sun all day given the chance and her poor ears must have really hurt despite the sun cream. The ones that don't burn sit in the shade!
