I'm so sorry to have to ask this question and hope it hasn't upset anyone, I've been hunting Google for an hour but can't find any helpful information.

Our gorgeous boy had to be PTS on Wednesday afternoon and is now at the pet crematorium awaiting cremation. OH and I decided we'd really like to go and see him one more time- I'm finding it very difficult to accept he's gone and am hoping this will help.

The problem is we're both working today and the crematorium have said we're not able to view him tomorrow as they don't have the right staff in. By Monday it will be 5 days since he passed, is that leaving it too long? What will his little body look like by then? Will decomposition have started? I really want to see his little body one last time but not if it's going to have deteriorated.

Again, so sorry for the upsetting content.

He will have been kept in cold store so should be fine to view. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you, so he'll look pretty much the same just cold and stiff? Just trying to prepare myself so I don't get a shock.

He will be cold to the touch and rigid. You won't be able to move his limbs. He maybe curled up, he may not be. We try to curl them, but sometimes they unfurl in the storage.
