Cats in your bed

Traditionally my cats have always slept ON the bed but latest cat gets IN the bed - snuggles under the duvet.

Is he weird or do your cats do this too?

Sometimes, when it's really cold. But his highness generally has his nose sticking out as he doesn't really like having his face covered.

Black cat used to like to do this when he was a kitten, not so much anymore.

No, BertCat gets under in cold weather. If I try to stop this, she sits my face staring at me and pawing at the covers, until I relent. The cuteness of the first winter she did this is wearing off now that it's waking me up and I'm trying to wean her off it.

Same with any blankets or jackets that are hanging in a way that makes a tent.

Mine does and then nearly gets laid on, she loves to get really snuggly.

My biggest one does this, and insists his head is on the pillow then breathes on me.
He's a big sooky baby.

PuffinCat will do this from time to time, but the problem is you never know until she's there whether she wants to snooze or rip your toes off...

first two cats liked to get under the covers...one liked to keep his head on the pillow, the other liked to make a nest under your knees and poke an prod mercilessly if you dared to let the covers touch his ears.

third cat especially liked to cosy in under the covers, he was such a sook, but was apt to be in and out all night as he got too hot or too cold.

idiot cat gets in if he is cold but then gets too hot so he gets out. His sister would never do anything so common as to get in bed with a person.

My cat stands over my head and meows until I lift the covers for him.. the little diva

One of my previous cats used to snuggle right down under the duvet and sleep between my feet & DH's. She was lovely, the cuddliest cat ever.

My cat loves sleeping under my duvet but only when the bed is otherwise unoccupied.

Mine does too; not very often though.

He does it but ideally he wants the pillow off me.

My cat has slowly worked his way up from the utility room at night to under the covers, behind my knees or sometimes using my hip( sleep on my side) as a thing to lounge across!

Ours sometimes does it when it's cold but she gets very fidgety then pops out dramatically as if it were our fault.

My cats an under cover snuggler, I love it! Never had a cat like it before and she only does it when it's cold out so she's like a purring hot water bottle which is well appreciated!

All my cats sleep on the bed but only on my side. My eldest cat only slept under the cover when I was pregnant so she was close to bump.

Weirdly, I just began a thread about this. Sick Day.

Little M will stay under the covers with me when I feel unwell, or have a lie in with me. If he's had a late night, I'm woken by him scratching at the duvet, which I automatically lift up for him, half asleep.

MCat prefers to sleep at the end of the bed.

We have three cat nests/beds placed down the middle of the bed for three of them, the other one sleeps under the duvet next to my tummy. If I roll over, he moves to resume his position next to my tummy.
Spoilt boys!

This one even does it when it's quite hot! I think he feels safe Hmm

Yep Ollie puts his head on the pillow and lies on his side with his back to me
Gets very huffy if I encroach on his side of the bed Hmm

So jealous

Kitten is still in the phase of "oooh soft flooomfy duvet, let's pee"

Though he is a kitten so squeeeeeeee

But looking forward to the day he sleeps on my bed rather than wetting it!

Mine is outside the duvet, head on pillow. If I turn over, he does too.

You're lucky to have your side of the bed Hollin. The entire part of the end of the bed is MCat's. and I get a yowly complaint if I dare move my toes.

2 thirds of the remainder is taken up by Little M. Which leaves me a small fraction of the bed area. Sometimes I wake up, clutching the edge of the mattress so I don't fall out.

ememem84 · 20/11/2016 22:07

Mine has taken to sleeping under our bed. I'm hoping she'll soon snuggle up. She's a rescue and has just in the last 3 days started boomping her head against my hand for pats and strokes. I luff her.
