I've got two lovely Persians. Who are my world. I got them by chance and apart from the owners of the rescue I got them from don't know any one else with them. Would love to know what your Persians personalities are like! Photos required!

I'm not a Persian owner but when I was a kid my auntie had the most lovely blue Persian called Albert. He was a real softie, an absolutely lovely cat. He was a traditional Persian though, a lot less flat-faced than most Persians I see now. (My cat has a very active Instagram social life Blush)

Oo I'd love a blue Persian! Though I believe fully black ones are quite rare.

He was fab! I love black ones and they do seem to be quite rare. I follow one on Instagram called sootbug who is like the little soot sprites from Studio Ghibli movies. Yours are utterly adorable too!

I've got a Persian Chinchilla. He's so lovely and sweet. Got him as a kitten. We wanted an indoor cat and we'd researched their temperament. He's such a character we adore him :-)

As the very proud owner of two B&W moggies I'm just here for the photos Grin.

I had a half Persian many years ago, as a child. His coat was long ginger. His mum was blue. He was simply wonderful - regal and strong. Loved my dear old cat.

I fostered five for over a year pending the outcome of a cruelty court case (breeder). I ended up keeping one. They were all very, very sweet and very, very dim Grin.

Here is Ali.

Aw cute. Yes they are not very bright! Adorable and gorgeous and unbelievably docile but as thick as mince! But I luffs them!

this is mabel. she is very floppy/dopy purring bundle of love. actually, she is a text book persian from what i have read about them (lots). very docile, not a good jumper or climber/hunter. poses around a lot, likes to follow me around the place. she likes giving and receiving love Smile

So much floofiness! One of ours is part-Persian. He's sweet, but not going to figure out cold fusion anytime soon.

Eek! I parked myself here for photos and haven't been disappointed.

Has Ali got an injured face TCN?Sad. I spy toe beans getting and lizzie Smile. And much floofiness. Gorgeous.

He does have toe beans, black toes! Which hide very sharp little knives. He's sweet, but not too bright, so if I reach for someone near him while he's sleeping, he thinks "snake attacks the lovely lady" & tries to slice my arm off.

Mabel sounds just like my two. They are totally adorable but are not very good at 'catting' some more floofiness for you!

Toddler - have you noticed how they like to lie on their back with their legs in the air. One thing that still freaks me out is how she lies down with her body contorted ie her tummy will be where her back should be. Madness Grin

Mine do it occasionally but only if it's warm enough it is so cute though! You mean like this?!

Here's my Persian in a couple of her weird and wonderful positions... what surprises me most is that she often falls asleep in the maddest poses despite looking incredibly uncomfortable!

Persian owners do any of you have your kitties groomed with the clippers? We're new to the country and can't find anyone who seems to do this in the the North West. She's used to being clipped every 3/4 months but has now gone almost 6 months without and is getting a bit matted and overgrown and despite thousands of attempts to brush her, she's not keen!

Heman no Ali's face isn't injured. It's squashed and badly designed, but that's because he's a persian. He was yawning in the picture which is why it looks odd (well, odder than usual for a persian).

Omg she's a beaut! Can't help you with the grooming but I found it quite hard to find anyone who does cats. Found two in the end. One did it with clippers and they both came back very unhappy and with bald tummies and the other did it with a dog rake and they came back much happier with and covered in talc. Think I just googled 'cat groomers nottingham'

Never had one, but when I was a teen I worked on the front desk of a hair/beauty salon. The owner had a gorgeous pale apricot Persian. He would lie on my desk all day, meeting and greeting the clients in all kinds of peculiar positions, ALWAYS showing off his tummy, for rubs. His name was Boris.

I had three chinchillas, all quite bright, able to jump & one was an excellent hunter.

Long noses though, the breed wasn't as squished up back then.

One of the reasons I had Persians is because they can't hunt. I'd burn the house down if I was ever bought presents! Flat faces look cute but cause so many problems. Mine snore like men! One of them had to have her nose widened and it's transformed her life.
