The litter tray

Cat has never been to vet, would it be cruel to take her to one now?

My beautiful baby girl is 20. A family friend rescued her when she was a kitten where she almost drowned, she was never checked out and they had her 10 years (never went to a vet to have jabs, etc.) we took her in when she was 10 as family no longer wanted her. We then never took her as she was a bit like a wild cat tbh and her immune system is really great. She seems to have had strokes (eyes are funny) and does wobble a bit but still seems so normal Sad she seems to forget that she has eaten though? We feed her and she will keep begging for food and is losing weight each day, even though we feed her loads and she barely leaves the house. She has been like his for 6 months. She isn't in pain (by what I can tell).

I honestly think taking her to the vets would kill her.

What would you do?

Most vets do home visits, ask for one.

She sounds like she has hyperthyroidism ( very common in older cars) treatment will dramatically improve her life.

Cats hide pain.

If it's something like renal failure she will be feeling like she constantly has a terrible hangover.

Get her seen.
