He's 13 or so, in rude health, but slowing down. Our other cat died a few months ago, but idiot boy isn't pining at all. He hasn't got a big appetite, but he's stood in the kitchen wowwling at me, he's got food. He's got dreamies, he's got water, he's got biscuits. He won't go out. What the hell is wrong with the daft sod?

He's obviously just telling you about the dream he had last night grin

He wants you to pick him up and give him adoration or he needs to be scratched and is too lazy to do it himself.

When my old boy "wowled" at me it meant he wanted a cuddle. And it really was a WOWL. That is such a great word and really is what it sounds like!

Cozie he's the only one I get a decent conversation with. He hates being picked up apart from dd tEllington him how cute he us. (He's a fucking gremlin)He went out in the end. He's been loudly complaining that he didn't get his share of the chicken I was chopping for a curry.

He wanted different food, whiskers treats not dreamies and perhaps the water wasn't fresh enough. Lol

Mine does this at night. I think he gets lost confused as he settles when I shout him
During the day he does it quite a bit and I end up going "mmm hmm. Yep. Bad day? Mmmm? Oh really? You're hungry? No? Mmmm hmmm" grin the more I chat the less he shouts and eventually he stalks off in disgust

Take him to the vet and get him checked. We have two old cats, both went mad worn insistent whining at around that age, turned out one had had a thyroid issue and one a liver problem, both of which were easily treated with tablets.

It's almost certainly nothing but it taught us to pay attention to changes in behaviour - vets aren't going to object to you getting him checked, they're all animal lovers anyway.

Worn? I meant with. Wine and sun and pub garden = inability to swipe the keyboard accurately.
