This evening I picked up Portia from the vets.. now minus a couple of teeth and with a bandage round her leg.
'Feisty isn't she?!' says the vet nurse, revealing her shredded forearms. ' I think she is a tad cross with us still'
Peering into her wicker basket I come face to face with THE most pissed off tortoiseshell puddy tat EVER :O
She has let me know that she MAY forgive me eventually, given sufficient tuna and prawns. Have to say I am proud of her nearly 17 everyone is still wary of her claws (now also clipped VERY short!) :D

Aw hope the tuna & prawns are sufficient. If you grovel enough you just may be forgiven.

Tortoiseshell cats are wonderful, lovely that you have a 17 year old. Hope she's recovering from the ordeal smile

Seniorboy flirts with all the practice staff. It's quite embarrassing at times. grin

I wish Portia would flirt!!! She has a reputation as being a really difficult to handle cat. Which considering she is 17 and weighs about 6 pounds... is really funny grin

I like to think she is confirming the reputation that torties are naughty smile She looked a bit miserable this morning (assume her painkillers had worn off) but she has eaten ok and is now sunning herself in the garden.

I wish you'd taken a photo of her pissed off face. Her resting face is intimidating enough.

Harry's notes say he is 'fractious' and the nurses warned the new vet he can be grumpy! I actually felt sorry for him as he was only grumpy when he had a wire in his jaw and they kept sedating him, the rest of the time he goes limp and lets them do what they want!

Last time Seniorboy had to have something looked at, his vet called in one of the practice nurses and all I heard in the corridor was a series of 'No - he's fine, Really! He just squirms.' (True.)

(_She Who Must Be Obeyed_The Chief Vet Nurse was on a day off, or she'd have been shouldering lesser mortals out of the way. grin)

My new autocorrect has been talking to the old one, I reckon - and is now filled with revolutionary fervour.

Our cat had two teeth out about 2weeks ago - she was feisty too smile

She ran out of the carrier and hid under DD's bed once I got her home. Then she woke me up at about 2am to howl at me - I could almost hear her tell me about waking up and someone had stolen her teeth. She was indignant! Still a bit sniffy with me now

We should use the term "Assertive"

Fluffy... I wish I had too!
Whoever thinks cats don't have facial expressions should have seen hers grin
If she could have folded her arms to go with the glare she'd have been truly terrifying !!!
