Please be kind as this is a genuine request for advice/reassurance...
I am in the process of divorcing which will necessitate me downsizing and (obviously) living alone in a smaller property. Our cat adores her 'dad', spending most available time draped across him purring. Due to my current teary state she already seems to have guessed that something is afoot - she's intuitive to small emotional shifts at the best of times and is now spending a lot of time either following me around, wailing or stationed in the middle of the hall like an uncomfortable, cross, roosting hen. I should also say that she is an indoor cat and so our house is her little world.
Two questions - how will she cope with living without my husband? How will she adjust to a house move? Essentially how can I minimise the stress for her even if I can't for me? x
