My cat peed in a bedroom a couple of times.
I've soaked it up washed the carpet and sprayed the odour stuff on it, it says drench the carpet with the stuff but the room still stinks (windows open all day), carpets dry etc.
What else can I do? what stuff is good? I used a whole bottle of the stuff and it hasnt worked.

I've got 'out' petcare odour eliminating spray from wilkinsons. It smells lovely and is supposed to prevent respraying. (It doesn't). One of mine is peeing on the sofa due to anxiety. I've got lots of baby waterproof cot sheets as puppy pads just encouraged it and have put her favourite cushion and bed on the sofa which seems to stop it. Her wee doesn't smell at all. The one and only time she territory marked it stank, maybe that's what your furball is doing.

It's a bit of an expensive option but DH bought a spot cleaner from Lakeland. It was £99 I think.
Our cat sometimes throws up on the carpet & it gets the stain out brilliantly.
Also last October DS1 & his GF & 2 cats came to live with us for 10 weeks was ment to be 3weeks when they were buying a flat. We have our own cat & things became pretty stressed towards the end with their female cat weeing on two beds & on the sofas which got covered in plastic eventually.
DH cleaned up with water & white vinegar & then used the chemicals in the spot cleaner & there has never been any smell & stain was removed from the mattress & sofas.

I tried biological washing powder, that worked quite well. There was cat piss in the car (dont ask), and it did reduce the odour.
Bicarb may also work, I once got un neutered tom cat spray on my hands (lifting bags of garden waste local tom had blasted). Nothing got it off, but bicarb got shut of the smell.

Thanks everyone. I know our cat does it out of stress , loud noises, too many kids etc. I will try the wilko one as a nice clean smell is what I need!
I did vax the carpet with bio powder solution, it smelt lovely when vaxing but when it dried the odour returned. bummer.

Wolfie yes that's the one. DH is brill at doing the cleaning with that machine. I always maintain my ignorance & tell him he must teach me how it works one day.
he would say it's my cat that causes all the problems, but bless him, DH always does the final clean
